“Adopting is a beautiful thing to do and knowing you may have saved their life is a pretty good feeling,” - Michelle.
Michelle and her family adore animals and took the opportunity to give a loving home to an animal in need. Five years ago, while paying a visit to her local library, Michelle came across an advertisement from a rescue group volunteer calling on community members to help foster kittens that were without a home.
Having years of experience with rescue cats under her belt, Michelle instantly knew that she wanted to help. She soon found out that a two-week old kitten in need of foster care, Scout – a gorgeous bundle of fluff – was the only surviving kitten from a litter of four after being abandoned by their mother at birth.
Building on her cohort of four-legged family members, Michelle fostered Scout and formally adopted her just six weeks later. Although nervous in nature, Scout has found her family home where she receives all the love, support and attention that she deserves.
