Susan
Practice Manager
Susan is a qualified Veterinary Nurse with over 10 years' experience. Susan come from a large loving family and has always had a passion for animals and started working at a vet clinic after high school and has loved working in the veterinary industry ever since. She has worked over the years gaining experience and has enjoyed taking on management roles with special interests in team management, surgery and hospital care. She also enjoys spending time with her partner and family, alongside her rescue cat Squishy and her two rough collie dogs Halo and Percy.
Dr Ronny
Head Veterinarian
Ronny graduated as a companion animal veterinarian in 2010 from New Zealand and has spent the last 11 years practising globally across New Zealand, Asia, the Pacific Islands, the UK and now Australia.He has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and greyhound medicine. Ronny has been with Petstock as a locum vet since 2017 and came on board as a permanent clinician in 2020.He lives with his partner and their two dogs - Merlot the pugalier and Vegas the greyhound. In his spare time he enjoys exploring the many cafes, bars, galleries and shops Melbourne has to offer.
Dr Jeff
Veterinarian
Jeff graduated as a vet from Melbourne university over 40 years ago and has worked around Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. He loves working with pet parents and their little fur babies to keep them healthy and happy. He enjoys doing surgery and is currently training in ultrasound. He has run 4 clinics over the years but is currently cutting back and now helping Dr Ronny and the great team at Petstock Vets Essendon. Jeff has owned many mischievous dogs and cats and has owned a sheep and cattle farm to keep him busy, although small patients are his passion.
During his spare time, he likes to cook, dine out, learn languages and travel.
Dr Brendan
Companion Animal Veterinarian
Brendan is a companion animal veterinarian with a particular interest in dogs and cats. However, his passion for animals began long before this job. Upon acquiring his first library membership card at the age of 5, Brendan began stockpiling books about dinosaurs and animals. This fascination continued into high school and then university where he completed degrees in science and vet school. Now working in his dream job, Brendan’s passion lies in providing patient care to the best of his abilities. Outside of work, Brendan remains busy keeping his cat Dumpling out of trouble
Nikki
2IC Manager
Nikki joined the PETstock VET team in 2019, at the Altona North, moving over in 2021 to Petstock VET Essendon as 2IC. Nikki has completed her associates degree in Veterinary Nursing and has been practicing in clinic for 5 years. She has a keen passion for surgery, training new nurses and animal behaviour. Nikki has volunteered in Thailand & Africa with a wide range of exotic animals such as tigers, elephants, and Asian moon bears. Nikki has vast experience with caring for felines in the stressful vet clinic setting.
Tayla
Veterinary Nurse
Tayla is a qualified vet nurse at PetStock Vet Essendon. Tayla discovered her passion for animal care and client education when she first came into the clinic as a client in 2016 with her two dogs Arnold and Piper. She takes great pride in being a source of care and love for our hospital patients and is grateful for the opportunity to be an animal advocate for our four legged friends. Her favourite part of veterinary nursing is developing long term relationships with clients and being there when they need support. Tayla volunteered at GAWS (Geelong Animal Welfare Society) for a number of years where she cared for mistreated animals and developed a deep understanding of animal behaviour and response to trauma. She plans to continue her education so she can providing the best advice to ensure your pets live long, happy and healthy lives. Outside nursing Tayla enjoys catching up with friends and yoga.
Rachael
Veterinary Nurse
Rachael is an experienced and qualified veterinary nurse. She has worked regionally for 5years with a variety of species including chickens. Rachael then moved back to the city to focus on nursing mainly small animal species such as cats and dogs. Rachael joined our team as a surgical nurse as she is most passionate about small animal surgery and best patient care. Rachael is a highly skilled surgical nurse and provides the best care for your pet when they stay with us for a procedure. She ensures they are cuddled and have a smooth anaesthetic and recovery. In her spare time Rachael has travelled to Europe and is looking forward to more trips abroad. Rachael's constant companion is Evie the busy 6year old border collie. Evie keeps Rachael busy bathing her after another swim in any puddle she can find!
Noelle
Veterinary Nurse
Noelle has always had a love for animals with a particular affinity for our feline friends!
She began volunteering in Melbourne where she cared for cats and dogs and helped with desexing aswell as helping with their adoptions to find their furever homes which led to her desire to care for animals in a medical setting as a career.
Noelle has a beautiful big fur family of 3 rescue cats and 2 dogs. In her spare time you can find her at lots of live music events around Melbourne.
Tara W
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Tara is our trainee veterinary nurse, originally joining the team in 2022 as a veterinary receptionist. Tara is passionate about providing excellent patient care and client customer service, Tara enjoys chatting to clients and assisting them with their pet needs. Tara moved from a small regional town in South Gippsland to pursue her dream career in veterinary nursing! She grewup on farms, with dairy cows, sheep, chickens, and has loved animals ever since she could remember. She is currently studying Veterinary Nursing at The Gordon Institute and hopes to continue building a vast knowledge basis upon completion in 2024. Outside of the clinic, Tara enjoys going to the beach and on new adventures with her two Rottweilers, Floki and Ragnar, and Fiancé Cody. Tara looks forward to greeting you furry friends with a smile and a pat, when you enter the clinic!
